Sao pedro
/First piece ever painted in Lisbon at the GAU installation next to the Sao Pedro mirador. It took a total of 5 days to be painted and ultimately lasted… five days before getting covered by another artist.
This mural and the canvas painting associated (see below) were for the longest time a personal challenge as I tried to paint them many time but never fully got there, while this mural now is my very favourite.
It is one of the rare occasions where I got to fully express my creative vision. It show a deep appreciation for classical art while navigating a more contemporary composition and also displays a touch of absurd as these renaissance looking models are wearing leather jackets and crochet hoods.
